DAY 1

Arrival in Algiers

• Greetings in the port of Algiers. Transfer and setup at Albert I Hotel ***.

• Guided tour of Algiers in the afternoon in a Tourism Minibus :

  (Kasbah, Notre-Dame of Africa Cathedral, Bardo Museum, Bastion 23…).

• Dinner and overnight.

DAY 2

Algiers - Bejaia [297 km]

• After breakfast, departure towards Bejaia.

• Short stops along the road to admire the magnificent rocky landscapes with their old villages

  and mausoleums, living testimonies of the history of the Kabyle country.

• Lunch is served along the way in an Olive garden with a visit to a traditional oil factory.

• Arrival in Bejaia. Tour of the city and climbing towards Yemma Gouraya (a magnificent citadel

  offering a wonderful view of the city and its port).

• Dinner at Tichy. Night at the Club Alloui Hotel *** (feet in water hotel).

DAY 3

Bejaia - Constantine [250 km]

• After breakfast, departure towards Jijel along the coast in order to admire the famous "jijelienne"

  ridge with its caves and its paradisiacal landscape.

• Arrival in Jijel. Tour of the city and its old port.

• Continuation towards Constantine.

• During the trip, magnificent views with gorges and rocky ambush will open your eyes on an endless

  decor of greeneries which adds to the pure and natural harmony. Stop for lunch on the shores

  of Lake Ben-Haroun (Ben-Haroun dam).

• Arrival in Constantine. Tour of the city and its famous suspended bridges.

• Traditional dinner (Constantine cuisine).

• Overnight at Cirta Hotel ***.

DAY 4

Constantine - Biskra [296 km]

• After breakfast, departure towards Batna (capital of the Aures).

• Arrival in Batna, short tour of the city and continuation towards Timgad (ancient roman city).

• Tour of the Roman Ruins of Timgad (fisrt roman city in Africa).

• Lunch on the shores of Lake Timgad and then off to Ghoufi.

• Climbing the Arris heights, in the middle of Chaouias country, a mountainous and vertiginous

  landscape that seems to be an alteration of nature before reaching the impressive

  Tighanimine Gorge.

• After a few kilometres of oasis and wadi adorned road, finally Ghoufi the Magnificent with its

  balconies and ancestral dwellings carved in stone.

• The afternoon devoted to the visit of Ghoufi, of its oasis and Kalâs (citadels) and it ancient

  colonial hotel.

• Continuation towards Biskra. Dinner and overnight at Zibans Hotel ***.

DAY 5

Biskra - El Oued [229 km]

• After breakfast, tour of the city of Biskra.

• Departure towards El Wadi (Souf Wadi).

• Short stops on the way to admire the shores of salt lakes (Sebkhas), oasis and two villages

  in ruins. Tour of an old plaster factory.

• Arrival at El Wadi. Lunch and short stop at the Hotel.

• In the afternoon, tour of the city (market, domes, Mehari Palace…).

• At sunset, dinner (mechoui) under a Kheyma (traditional tent) in the middle of the desert

  and traditional entertainment.

• Overnight at the Hotel Ritane Palace ***.

DAY 6

El Oued - Guerara [319 km]

• After breakfast, departure towards Ghardaïa.

• Short transit through Touggourt and then continuation towards H'jira.

• Arrival in H'jira (village completely buried under the sand). Lunch and tour of the old village.

  (Possibility to come across a herd of wild camels).

• Arrival in the afternoon in Guerara. Tour of the "mousabite" city and its extraordinary oasis.

• Continuation towards Ghardaïa. Settling in the traditional house "Akham". Dinner and overnight.

  To foresee a sleeping bag + hot sweater (a cover will be provided you) cold nights.

DAY 7

Guerara - Ghardaïa [120 km]

• After breakfast, tour of the old city and of its market and cities of El Ateuf, Bounoura, Melika

  and Beni Yesguen.

• Free time in the afternoon (rest, souvenir shopping, walks…).

• Dinner and evening with folk entertainment.

• Overnight at Akham.

DAY 8

Ghardaïa - Timimoun [610 km] *

• After breakfast, early departure towards Timimoun.

• Arrival in El Golëa. Tour of the K'sours (ancient palaces) and of the city's oasis.

• Settling on the shores of the Lake for lunch.

• Continuation towards Timimoun.

• Short stops on the way to admire the never ending horizon with its wild plants and shrubs

  growing between the sand and the rocks.

• Arrival at the end of the afternoon in Timimoun. Admiration of a wonderful panoramic view with

  an Oasis, sand dunes and sunset.

• Dinner and overnight in the Hotel Gouara ***.

  This leg is the longest distance to go through. The road taken in straight deserted and allows using   speeds from 100 to 160 km/h.

DAY 9

Timimoun - Taghit [450 km]

• After breakfast, departure early in the morning towards Kerzaz.

• Just out of Timimoun, tour of the K'sours (ancient palaces).

• Gigantic sand dunes appear slowly ending up running along the road up to our arrival in Kerzaz.

• Lunch on the shore of the Kerzaz Oasis River.

• Continuation towards Taghit with short strops on the way (sand dunes, oasis).

• Arrival at the end of the afternoon in Taghit. Sunset admiration.

• Dinner and overnight at Hotel Taghit ***.

DAY 10

Free day in Taghit

• Option of sleeping in. Breakfast and free day with the possibility to visit the city, the market,

  the K'sours (ancient palaces), the palm groves…*

• Lunch served at Hotel Taghit.

• At sunset, settling under a Kheyma (traditional tent) in the middle of the desert for dinner (mechoui)

  and traditional entertainment.

• Overnight at Hotel Taghit ***.

  Many folk festivals can be organized during this time of the year.

DAY 11

Taghit - Aïn Sefra [367 km]

• After breakfast, departure towards Bechar.

• Tour of the city of Bechar. Continuation towards Beni Ouenif. Tour of the city and

  of the old train station.

• Lunch in the ruins of an ancient colonial palace.

• Continuation towards Aïn Sefra (frontier of Algeria and Morocco).

• Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Mekhter ***.

DAY 12

Aïn Sefra - Tlemcen [330 km]

• After breakfast, departure towards Tlemcen.

• Arrival in Nâama, last leg before nature barters its Saharan face for a green and mountainous

  landscape. Outdoors lunch.

• Continuation towards Sebdou to see the first mountains and forests, amazing natural contrast only

  a few kilometres from the desert.

• Arrival in the afternoon at the heights of Tlemcen (magnificent view of the city with its mountains,

  old villages, enormous fields and prairies).

• Traditional dinner and evening at Ziyanides restaurant.

• Overnight at the Hotel Ziyanides ****.

DAY 13

Tlemcen - Oran [150 km]

• After breakfast, tour of the city of Tlemcen and of the Sidi Boumediene mausoleum.

• Lunch in a typical restaurant located downtown.

• Departure towards Oran via Ain Témouchent.

• Short stops in the road to visit ancient wine caves from the Great Oran. Arrival in Oran.

• Settling at the Hotel Les Andalouses *** (Ayoun Turk/seaside).

• After dinner, night tour of the city of Oran in a Tourism's minibus.

• Overnight at the Hotel Les Andalouses ***.

DAY 14

Oran - Tenes [240 km]

• After breakfast, tour of the city of Oran, of the Notre-Dame de Santa Cruz Cathedral, of the

  St. André Fort and of the Sidi Abdel Kader mausoleum (with a wonderful view of the beautiful

  city of Oran).

• Departure towards Mostaganem along the coast. After lunch, tour of the city and of its

  magnificent colonial architecture.

• Continuation towards Ténès with beautiful sandy and wild beaches.

• Stop on the way to admire one of the most beautiful sunsets.

• Arrival in Ténès. Dinner in a fishery in the old port.

• Overnight at the Hotel Fellag **.

DAY 15

Tenes - Algiers (Sid Fredj) [270 km]

• After breakfast, departure towards Cherchell.

• All along the road following the coast, beautiful beaches and old ports will compete against

  landscapes that will take your breath away.

• Arrival in Cherchell, short tour of the city and its old port.

• Continuation towards Tipaza. After lunch, tour of the Roman Ruins of Tipaza.

• Continuation towards Sidi Fredj for the last part of the trip.

• Arrival in Sidi Fredj in the afternoon. Settling at the Hotel El Riadh *** (by the seaside).

• Dinner and closing night :

  + Musical entertainment.

  + A ceremony with distribution of souvenirs to all participants.

  + A screening of pictures of the best moments of the Tour.

• Overnight at the Hotel El Riadh ***.

DAY 16

Departure [End of Circuit]

• After breakfast, transfer to the port of Algiers.

• Help with checking out.
